Biscayne National Park

Located not far from downtown Miami, Biscayne National Park might as well be a million miles away, as it is another world entirely. It offers a range of artefacts and information about nautical history, including shipwrecks and pirates, while also seeking to preserve sizeable stretches of mangrove forest and coral reef. There are plenty of fun activities for the whole family to get involved in during their visit, such as lobstering and fishing at the various reefs, sand flats and shorelines, diving, snorkelling and winter camping. Completely free, Biscayne National Park is open throughout the year and makes for an ideal break from the city.
